Seeking volunteers to assist 2026 fireworks fund raising
The 2025 Fireworks display and raffle was cancelled due to insufficient financial support. For over 20 years, members' generosity funded a professional fireworks display through donations, raffles, and food sales, often resulting in a surplus for the following year.
Only 9 members purchased raffle tickets last year, and their money was refunded.
This years fireworks display has been listed as a budget item for the first time in over 25 years. Whether it continues past this year will depend on how much support and help can be had by volunteers. We need people to help sell tickets, seek sponsorships, and even hold targeted fund raising activities. I am told this years contract is 10k. We have a little over 6k in the coffers, so there is some work to do.
